A Japanese research group has prototyped an interesting gaming system that combines a pico projector and image recognition technologies.
Pictures of Palm’s upcoming webOS 2.0 operating system have surfaced , a good 24 screenshots to be exact. From what we can see, webOS 2.0 will include Cisco VPN, Dropbox, Google Docs, MobileMe support, remote file storage with QuickOffice, amongst many other things.

Samsung’s Galaxy S line of phones—all essentially the same, marched out across a gamut of carriers —is set to hit Verizon. The 1Ghz, Android 2.1-powered Samsung Fascinate will cost $200 on-contract after (after a dreaded $100 mail-in rebate), and you can pick one up tomorrow online, or in stores on September 9th. Like all the other Galaxy S phones, it’s been promised a Froyo update soon .

Samsung’s Galaxy S phones already pack Hummingbird , one of the fastest mobile processors around.
Samsung has announced that they’ve come up with a new dual-core Applications Processor (AP) that is based on ARM Cortex A9, codenamed Orion. The chip is clocked at 1GHz and will enable manufacturers to come up with devices that are looking for some good performance while maintaining low power consumption, and is suitable to be used in mobile phones, netbooks, and also tablet devices. The Orion was designed using Samsung’s 45nm low-power process technology and will feature two Cortex A9 cores running at 1GHz with 32KB of data cache, 32KB instruction cache, and 1MB L2 cache.
MSI’s not going to lose out to Sony when it comes to 3D notebooks , as the company has paraded it at the 2010 IFA Show in Berlin. The Core i3-powered 16-inch FR600 notebook will come with integrated Intel graphics, TNX TruStudio Pro audio and a quartet of built-in speakers to get you started, while the CX623 with 3D technology will function as a dedicated Nvidia graphics card option to cater for all of your mobile 3D needs.
Skype Mobile on the Android operating system has just been given a boost, as the updated version allows you to make calls over Wi-Fi as well instead of relying on just 3G connectivity.

Looks like the T-Mobile G2 will actually have an 800MHz processor instead of the 1GHz Snapdragon we were expecting . Which will disappoint the number hungry among us, but I’ll wait to play with it before I write off an otherwise excellent looking phone. In better news, Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1 is a definite go though
